ITINERARY
Day 1: SAN JOSE Arrival in San Jose, where one of our representatives will be meeting you to help with your luggage and transport you to Hotel Buena Vista in a picturesque mountain setting conveniently located 15 minutes from the airport. Day 2: ARENAL / LA PAZ / TABACON Shortly after breakfast, your rental car will be delivered to begin 4 hour journey to the Arenal Volcano area. On the way, make a stop for tour and lunch at La Paz Waterfall Gardens. When you think about Costa Rica, you probably imagine lush tropical Rain Forests, flowing white rivers, spectacular waterfalls, birds, butterflies and flowers. At La Paz Waterfall Gardens, you will see all that and more. Overnight at Hotel Montana de Fuego (or similar) where you will have a spectacular view of the volcano Meals included; Breakfast, lunch Day 3: ARENAL Morning tour to La Fortuna Waterfall and hike down a steep trail to the base of the waterfall, where you can enjoy a cool swim in the river's crystal clear waters or just enjoy the exuberant vegetation surrounding the canyon. Afternoon Zip Line Tour, then finish the day with a scheduled visit to Ecotermales Thermal Spa, whose warm, mineral-rich waters are heated within the volcano for a relaxing soak and dinner. Overnight at Montana de Fuego Meals included; Breakfast, dinner Day 4: ARENAL – CARARA After breakfast, travel to the Mid Pacific Coast to visit Carara Biological Reserve, “Place of the Crocodiles”, and a protected transition forest that is home to an unbelievable diversity of plants and animals. Carara is also considered a sanctuary of the rare and beautiful Scarlet Macaw. Afternoon to relax or do some hiking in the hotel’s private reserve. Overnight at the "All Inclusive" Villa Lapas Hotel. Meals included; Breakfast, lunch, dinner Day 5: CARARA Morning at leisure to enjoy the facilities of the hotel. Afternoon Crocodile Jungle Safari, offers a chance for some close encounters with this reptile and many more animals and birds as you travel by boat through the tropical mangroves of Guacalillo. Overnight at Villa Lapas. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner Day 6: SAN JOSE / RETURN HOME Early morning drive back to San Jose to connect with return flight home and the end to an unforgettable adventure!!!
