ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive in San José Our driver will meet you at the airport to transfer you to the award-winning DoubleTree by Hilton Cariari hotel. Rest up to prep for tomorrow’s adventures or have a traditional dinner at one of the restaurants in town. Day 2: La Paz Waterfall Gardens / Arenal Volcano After an early breakfast our driver will pick you up for drive to La Paz Waterfall Gardens for tour and lunch. U.S. News & World Report ranked this nature park among Costa Rica’s top attractions. Its residents include butterflies, jaguars, and other rare wildlife. Afterwards, continue the drive north towards Costa Rica’s Northern Plains and the awe inspiring Arenal Volcano. Soothe your muscles by soaking in the thermal pools of Volcano Lodge Hotel and Thermal Experience Meals included: breakfast, lunch Day 3: Arenal Volcano Today’s adventure-packed day includes whitewater rafting on the Sarapiqui River (Class III - IV). Late afternoon / early evening visit for a relaxing soak and dinner at the thermal waters of Ecotermales Thermal Spa Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner Day 4: Monteverde Cloud Forest Morning pick up at your hotel zip line tour then afternoon pick up for Jeep / Boat / Jeep transfer to Monteverde Cloud Forest. Here, you can walk on hanging bridges that weave through the misty treetops or hike in the park that features more than 400 types of rare orchids and a wild butterfly garden. Overnite at Hotel El Establo Meals included: breakfast Day 5: Monteverde / Guanacaste Early morning pick up for drive to the sunlit shores of Costa Rica’s Gold Coast, known to the locals as Guanacaste. The next 2 days include leisure time to lounge on the beach; alternatively, you can take a kayak tour to Isla Chora or a charter fishing cruise (fees apply) Overnite at "All Inclusive" Villas Playa Samara Meals included: breakfast, dinner Day 6: Guanacaste Day on your own to enjoy the beach Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner Day 7: Guanacaste / San Jose Time for an early morning swim then pick up at your hotel for drive back to San Jose and overnight at Cariari Hotel. Time to enjoy dinner at one of the many fine restaurants close by. Meals included: breakfast, lunch Day 8: Return Home Depending on your flight time, you’ll be picked up at the hotel for transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport for your return flight home.
