The name Hotel Pochote Grande is derived from the huge, old pochote tree (Bombacopsis quinatum) located directly behind the hotel’s barbecue site.The tree, provides shade to many birds and animals such as owls, iguanas, squirrels and even a racoon family on occasion. If lucky enough you might even be able to observe Macaws in its canopy.
