Congo Bongo is located 4 hours southeast of San Jose, in the Gandoca Manzanillo wildlife refuge in Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast. The 13 acre property contains a wide variety of beautiful tropical flowers, fruits, and giant Rainforest trees.
The wetlands and surrounding forest areas contain a great diversity of species, many endemic to this area. You can also spot crocodiles, alligators, otters, wild boars, sloths, spider monkeys, howler monkeys, white-throated capuchin monkeys, and numerous other species of birds, reptiles and amphibians.

The accommodations; The Big House, Palm House, Root House, River House and the Dream House are located 200 meters from the white sandy beach, and each is surrounded by beautiful tropical rainforest. Each house features comfortable beds, private bathrooms with hot water, an open living area and a fully equipped kitchen.
