After traversing Braulio Carrillo, we’ll indulge in a delicious traditional Costa Rican breakfast. Next, we’ll visit a Banana Plantation, where your guide will unravel the intriguing process of banana cultivation and exporting this vital crop.
The highlight of your day awaits as we proceed to the embarkation dock for an exhilarating boat trip into Tortuguero National Park. Spanning 29,000 hectares, Tortuguero is renowned as a key nesting site for the green sea turtle(Chelonia mydas). The park’s lush forests and winding waterways are home to a range of endangered wildlife, including sloths, monkeys, agoutis, coatimundis, and manatees. Bird watchers will be thrilled to spot toucans, trogons, egrets, herons, and aninghas, while crocodiles, turtles, and an array of vibrant butterflies, such as the striking blue morpho, enhance the park's biodiversity.
