TOUR DESCRIPTION
Discover the wonders of Costa Rica's Damas Island Estuary and mangrove ecosystem on a guided kayaking adventure. Paddle through the protected inland waterways of this unique tropical habitat with the guidance of bilingual naturalist guides, who will reveal the diverse wildlife and breathtaking flora of the Costa Rican mangrove forest.
On this tranquil journey, you'll glide under the canopy of towering mangroves, some of the oldest and most extraordinary tree species found only in select regions like Costa Rica. Paddle at your own pace, giving you the chance to explore the estuary’s rich biodiversity while learning about the ecosystem’s delicate balance.
As you kayak, keep your eyes peeled for sloths, playful monkeys, and the elusive silky anteater, all living in the lush environment of the mangroves. Hear the melodies of various local and migratory birds soaring above. Your naturalist guide will help you spot animals you might otherwise miss, making this an intimate and educational experience.
This mangrove kayaking tour is ideal for nature lovers who want a close-up look at Costa Rica’s tropical rainforest and an introduction to the unique species and ecosystems found here. Whether you're a beginner or experienced kayaker, the pace is tailored to your interests, ensuring an unforgettable, personal experience.
After your adventure, enjoy a delicious Tico-style meal—a hot breakfast, lunch, or dinner, depending on your tour’s timing.
Discover the importance of Costa Rica's mangrove estuaries and learn why their preservation is vital to both local and global ecosystems. This tour offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature in one of the world’s most pristine habitats.
