We will begin our day with a delightful breakfast at Doka Coffee Estate, where you can enjoy a delicious meal amidst the lush coffee fields. Next, we'll dive into an immersive coffee tour at a genuine coffee plantation, where you'll uncover the ancient techniques used by experts to produce some of the finest coffee in Costa Rica and around the globe. Witness the meticulous process of cultivating, harvesting, and roasting the Golden Bean, followed by a tasting of the exquisite coffee.
Following our coffee experience, we’ll head to Poás Volcano National Park. Here, you'll encounter a dramatic shift in temperature and the vibrant vegetation of the cloud forest. The Poás Volcano is an active stratovolcano, towering at 2,708 meters (8,885 feet), with a crater spanning over a mile across and 1,050 feet deep. It has erupted 40 times since 1828, including a significant eruption in April 2017.
At the volcano, you’ll have the chance to marvel at the impressive main crater, with its steaming sulfur fumaroles, and take a scenic hike to the picturesque Botos Lagoon. During this visit, you’ll learn about the diverse ecosystems of the park.
We will then continue to La Paz Waterfall Gardens, where we’ll enjoy a buffet lunch rated 4 Forks by the Costa Rican Tourism Council. The meal features a variety of traditional Costa Rican dishes and more.
At La Paz, we’ll explore walking trails through a lush tropical rainforest, where you'll experience flowing white rivers, stunning waterfalls, and observe a range of wildlife including birds, butterflies, monkeys, and hummingbirds. Enjoy educational animal exhibits such as the Aviary, Butterfly Observatory, Hummingbird Garden, Serpentarium, Jungle Cats Exhibit, and Frog Exhibit. This tour is a must for nature lovers of all ages.

Remarks:
Due to the altitude and activity of the Poás Volcano, this tour is not recommended to any person with heart conditions, high blood pressure, people who have had a recent surgery, pregnant women or children.
As we ascend the mountain, we will notice a change in temperature and vegetation; we will see coffee plantations as well as fern, flower and strawberry farms along the way, creating a beautiful array of colors and visuals.
