Rio Pejibaye biking tour

Biking at IrazúStarting in your hotel, we pick you up at 7:30 a.m. heading toward the city Of Cartago (First capital city of Costa Rica).

We stop for breakfast at Cervantes, a little town where you can admire the "antiques" collected for many years.

The tour starts at "Angostura" hydroelectric plant biking through sugar and coffee plantations. The route is flat with a mountain segment of dense jungle and up hills. The feeling inside the mountain is awesome and there are good views of rivers from the road.

Their support van is available all the time with a cooler full of water to refill your bottles every time you need. As the exercise requires a lot of energy, they also bring tropical fruits, candies and a mix of nuts and raisins in order to keep you strong enough to perform the task you paid for.

After the adventure in the dense jungle, we arrive to "Pejibaye" town, a quaint town of workers from the sugar cane and coffee plantations. Continuing on flat dirt road, we arrive to "La Posa" a pool formed by the Pejibaye river, this is your chance to get in the water to refresh and take out all the dirt and sweat from your body. After refreshing, we take the dirt road again on our way to the ending point.

After we finish the route, we will drive to a typical restaurant where a delicious lunch will be served.

We recommend bringing extra clothes, shoes and a towel.
