Ríos Tropicales has been able to purchase over 1000 acres of virgin rain forest for total protection where our Lodge has been established. Immersed in the jungle, rustic, comfortable and clean, you will see why Condé Nast nominated us for the Ecotourism Award. Enjoy relaxing in our private bungalows or our three story multi-room lodge with superb views of the river. The unique architecture of our bungalows and buildings follow designs by local Cabécar Indians and local "campesinos". |
|
| |
Rooms are spacious with double and single beds. Fall asleep listening to the rush of the river, and wake up to the sounds of toucans and other birds. Waterfalls and natural pools surround our private reserve, and we produce our own energy with a hydroelectric generator. |

At the lodge, you will find endless trails, and hammocks to relax. Our new Bird Watching Lodge is only a 15 minute hike up the mountain and the views from there are a must see.
You will enjoy happy hour and gourmet meals prepared and served by your guides, and the ambience of a tropical night by candlelight. |

"To overnight in this enchanting camp (Lodge) deep in the heart of the rain forest is...well... is worth the whole trip to Costa Rica itself. Here flora and fauna take an intriguing architecture and the ever present roar of cascading water. For those who've ever seen the MirageHotel in Las Vegas this must be where they got their ideas', except... it's the real deal!"
RENO VIOLA (Host of Outdoor Journal - The Travel Channel)
"The final rapids of the (first) day were the most difficult, a sign of things to come. The campsite (Lodge) was a lush sanctuary ... built in the rainforest."
THERESA RONCON (Host of GO FOR IT - THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL)
