We had wonderful vacations in Costa Rica! Thank you very much for all your help.

A few words about our trip. First of all, everything which you organized worked very smoothly and without any problems. All hotels were great, and all transportations and connections worked without any problem. The only small problem appeared when we were renting a car, because we were given first a manual and automatic car, as we requested, but your assistant handled and resolved this problem very quickly. We are really very thankful for that.

In Osa we stayed in two places, very different, but both are excellent, and we highly recommend them. We spent every day many hours, just hiking trails on their grounds, where we met all kind of wild life. Different kind of monkeys are everywhere. See the picture of a white-faced monkey which climbs the tree in front of our balcony. The hotel have very experienced nature guides among their staff, and we took several trips with them, looking for birds and nocturnal animals.

Boa constrictor came once, when we were sitting there on the terrace! See the attached photo of the owner, Terry, with that snake. A huge family of scarlet macaws just live there on their grounds and nearby. The Carribean part of the trip was also very good. The hotel is excellent, and I highly recommend it. The location, just on the great beach is unbeattable! All their rooms have ocean views, but the best are, what they call "junior suites". They are slightly more expensive, but have the best location.

I am practicing my Spanish!

We have completed our three tours and they were marvelous!! Last night was a bit of a challenge due to the Christmas Light Parade. We were dropped about four blocks from our hotel and the crowds were huge.

The four-in-one tour is one I wish Sallie could have gone on with me.
It was strenuous, but very beautiful. The stairs were very long. The volcano was clear and I was able to get some great pictures.

We took the extra snorkeling tour with the Calypso tour. Really enjoyed that one and the food was excellent.

Then yesterdays Sueno Azul tour was very exciting and since we finished early, we indulged ourselves with a massage before the bus came to pick us up. That was like our own private tour as we were the only two of the 10 passengers that did that tour. The others were White Water rafters. The zip line is great and the tubing was very refreshing.

You did an excellent job for us and we can´t thank you enough. We will definitely recommend you to all of our friends. Next time we will come on our own and book all of our one-day tours through you. The only way to go!

It was a real pleasure working with you and this was the best vacation of our lives!  Eduardo and the rest of your staff were really friendly and the guides on all of our tours were very knowledgable and professional.  We felt really safe while doing those daring feats!  I would highly recommend Rain Forest tours to any one planning a trip to Costa Rica!!!

Muchas gracias por todo.  Verdaderamente fue un viaje extraordinario.  Todo marchó a la perfección y hasta la ocasional lluvia pasó casi desapercibida.  El volcán Arenal se despejó por un rato, así que lo pudimos ver.  Los tres choferes que nos trasladaron de un sitio al otro de primera, y eso que tuvieron que esquivar cada hueco en la carretera!  Sobre todo quería felicitarlos por el chofer (no recuerdo su nombre) que nos llevó de San José a Arenal: A1; inteligente, cortés, muy enterado de todo; nos dió un tour ecológico-político-histórico de primera.

Lamentablemente no te voy a poder mandar fotos, porque nuestra cámara digital dejó de funcionar en San José!

Thank you so much for all of your efforts in setting up our trip. We had a fantastic time in Costa Rica; we actually just arrived home late yesterday evening as we were visiting some family that live in a different part of Canada. Currently we are sorting through our many photos and I am writing some of our memories about our adventures; we will be sure to send some comments and photos on to you (hopefully within the next couple of weeks). Luck was with us when we visited Arenal Volcano as we were able to see the volcano for most of two days.
We were very, very happy with everything you set up for us in Costa Rica and will definitely recommend both yourself and Rainforest Tours to anyone we know who will be visiting Costa Rica in the future.

Costa Rica was wonderful and we especially loved Arenal. The volcano was more than we anticipated - we loved our horseback riding trip to the Arenal Falls - Tabachon Hot Springs were so luxurious - the Hanging Bridges over the Rainforest were breathtaking. We loved the trip to the Cloud Forest and Zip Line through the rainforest - that was EXHILERATING!

Hi Ana -

It was a pleasure meeting you also and visiting your lovely country. The people of your country are wonderful and made the week a joy.  I'm still playing catch up at work and home but will be glad to send photos along in the near future. One quick story....On Friday (Holy Day) Lindsay and I went to the Manuel Antonio at 8:30 a.m. by taxi. We left at noon and found traffic in a jam and backed up for some distance. We could not find a taxi so started to hike back to the hotel. A lovely young couple stopped and took us back to the hotel. What a wonderful thing for them to do. We would still be walking, I'm sure!!!

We found all the accommodations fine with the exception of the Claire De Lune in Monteverde. There was no TV, radio, clock, chair or headboards. The mattress was lumpy. There was no parlor so you couldn't even read. All the other hotels were clean and more than adequate. 

I hope someday to return to Costa Rico and I will be sure to recommend you to friends who inquire about my trip. Thank you for all your help.

Thank you so much for all of your help. We had a great trip!

All of the tours were great except the Tortuguero tour. I think we were disappointed because we had taken a tour 6 years ago and we were able to go through the various canals. This trip the guide wasn't that knowledgeable (I think he was new) and we stayed on the rivers and didn't enter the canals. It was a long drive to make for a trip that was similar to the Sarapiqui river trip (included in the 4 in 1).

The hotel was great, we ate great food, had great weather and we were exhausted at the end of each day. I told the girls that they were at Costa Rican Summer Camp.

Once we have all of our pictures together, I'll send you some.

We would be very happy to pass along your company's name for anyone else that is traveling to Costa Rica.

In the future, we will probably come back and would like to make some side trips to Belize, Guatemala, Panama, and maybe a day trip to Cuba. Let us know if you ever have any trips that we might be interested in taking in the future.

The trip was wonderful. We all had a GREAT time. Exactly what I wanted.
You did a fabulous job and the hotels you selected were beautiful. None of us wanted to leave El Establo but we were very pleasently surprised when we arrived at Tamarindo Diria. It was a prefect end to a great vacation. We started the week out with lots of adventure and ended it peacfully on the beach.

Our first driver Gerardo was wonderful and we were very sorry to lose him. He is very professsional and personable and he made the trip very special. We feel thankful that he was assigned to us. Please let him know how happy we were to have him with us.

Ana, it was our pleasure to meet you and your wonderful country.  The various stops were exquisite and Eduardo became like one of the family.  He greatly added to the trip. 

The Ocotal Beach Resort had to hunt to find us a second room.  They did and it worked out ok.  Pam and I particularly enjoyed the Corcovado stay.  Even the extra day in San Jose turned out interesting.

I have already referred many from our office to your business.  We put our trust in your hands and you certainly lived up to the expectations.

Thank you for your note.  Amy and I had a great time in Costa Rica, thanks in large part to your assistance in setting everything up for us.  All our transfers went according to plan, which relieved us of our worries about how to get where we wanted to go.  The Bahia Paraiso Rainforest Lodge was wonderful.  It was remote and yet we were well cared for at all times.  Gustavo made sure we had everything we needed and his staff gave us excellent service.  Freddy, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife.  I'm quite sure we would not have seen all of the animals we saw in Corcovado without him.
I would love to return to Costa Rica and see some other areas of the country.  I will definitely keep you in mind and will not hesitate to recommend you to my friends who are thinking of traveling your way.  Thanks again for everything.

Sorry that I didn't respond earlier, but I went to Chicago after we got back from Costa Rica. 

The trip was really wonderful.  You did such a great job organizing everything.  All of our connections went extremely smoothly.  All of our drivers and guides were on time and were very courteous and friendly.  We particularly liked our guide Walter in Arenal and our drivers from Monteverde to Tamarindo.  The kayaking trip in Arenal was spectacular as was the Sky Trek zip line trip in Monteverde.  The tour of the cloud forest was a little disappointing.  We didn't see much other than a few birds.  It might be better to schedule an evening tour when I understand you can see a little more wildlife.

Thanks again for everything Ana.  We all had a fantastic time and we will certainly recommend you to anyone we know who is going to Costa Rica in the future.

Sorry it's taken a little while to get back you. But we wanted to thank you for all that you did for us. We had an excellent time exploring your wonderful country and meeting the nice people who live there.

Our trip was great and the travel times and the tours were punctual. We particularly liked Geovani who took us on the hanging bridges tour. He was very knowledgeable and pointed out alot of the birds and wildlife that we would have otherwise missed.

The accommodations were also what we expected with the exception of the Tamarindo hotel. We had only two twin beds as opposed to two double beds and the hotel itself was quite noisy each morning starting around 7AM.
Perhaps it was our room location or the fact that while we were there were a few families with young kids that wanted to get up very early. Aside from that the hotel itself was cute and clean. We never complained and this was just a minor glitch in an otherwise outstanding vacation for both of us.

Some day we would both love to come back and see some more of Costa Rica. We'll be sure to get in touch again.

We had a great time, even though some of the hotels had telephone problems! Gerardo was very nice and knowledgable about the animals and birds of the area. We also felt that all of the guides at the Arenal Volcano, the Frog Exhibition, the Orchid Tour and the Butterfly Garden, and the Sky Walk were very well spoken and provided a lot of information.

The hotel in San Jose - Great!  People were wonderful and very helpful.   San Jose offered lots of things to do and see!

The A renal Hotel - Great location, good service, loved the hot springs and hiking trails! - the room however was not comfortable.   The bathroom was too small with no place to sit things, including in the shower also.  The curtain rod ( a pipe ) would fall down when trying to close the drapes. The bed was hard and the linens did not fit the bed and kept falling off, not to mention they were so old and worn.  Its definitely time for new linens and blankets!

Monteverde - Everything was wonderful/perfect (except the roads :)).   This was my favorite place. Monteverde was beautiful , the Frog Pond fun, shopping was great, Sky Trek Zip Line so exciting, and the restaurants some of the best I've been to such as De Pizza by de Johnny!  The people were wonderful.

Flamingo Beach - Although the resort is only 20 yrs. old I suspected it was much older.  The upkeep is minimal at best.  It is in desperate need of cleaning especially in the grand entry, lobby, pool and hallway areas.  Although they seemed to have enough staff, most were idle.  The resort was also very isolated.  No close towns to walk to for shopping, eating, or excursions.  We did spend a day in Tamarindo which offered all of the above and located directly in the water also.  I would chose not to return to this location and would not recommend it to my friends.

All of the transportation companies were very good especially from the Arenal to Monterverde.  He was a peach.  The only exception was Flamingo Beach to San Jose.  The van was not in very good condition, seating was very, very uncomfortable and the driver had bad driving skills.  That was 5 hrs that I couldn't wait for it to be over with.

I have a lot of great memories from this trip and look forward to a return trip to tour the Southern part of the country in the near future.  Ana you did a superb job and would highly recommend your services to friends and acquaintances.

I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful trip, we just got back a few days ago.  Everything worked just as planned, all the bus transfers and plane flights went smoothly and almost all the hotels were even more luxurious than we had thought they would be.  Brad really liked this trip and I'm sure we'll be back to Costa Rica.

The Bahia Paraiso was amazing -- even though we had reserved a furnished tent, they upgraded us to a room at no extra charge.  The staff treated us very, very well and the food was all excellent.  I think I'd definitely like to go back there too.

Thanks again for planning a wonderful Costa Rican trip for Paulette and me.  The drivers were always on time, careful, courteous and lots of fun.  We had lots of laughs and some unique experiences.   Paulette saw 101 species of birds, 68 that she can count on her lifelist (Having never seen them before).  We did have a little more rain and wind  than expected but soon learned you just have to join it.  Paulette did fall out of the raft in the rafting trip but guide rescued her immediately.  She prayed hard that I'd go in but I sunk in my heals and stayed afloat.

Cabinas Sun Sun in Las Horquetas is a new (4 months old) hotel and we highly recommend you put that on your list of that area.  Rara Avis is a difficult place to get to.  The tractor and wagon are a very rough trip.  We were not able to reap the beauty of Rara Avis because of the 20 inches of rain and it was cold.  It is very primative place.

We had a wonderful trip. Thanks a lot for organizing.
With his stories and knowledge of Costa Rica, Alonso made our experience even more fun. My best memories are of watching the hot rocks roll down the volcano at night, riding horses, surfing in the ocean, watching the wildlife and hanging out with Alonso, our driver. We just came back to a very cold and snowy New Jersey after a memorable trip.  All the arrangements you made were excellent.  The Hotels at San Jose, Monteverde and Arenal were marvelous - each with its own personality.  It was misty in Monteverde all the time but we were prepared with rain gear.  We ate some very good Costa Rican food in Santa Elena.  In Arenal the Tabacon experience was unique and the food there was delicious.  As I mentioned to you, we got drenched in the Volcano National Park.  That part was OK but we missed the volcano eruption at night because of the clouds and rain. We were able to see it however, from  Tabacon and from the hotel the night before.  We bought some gifts in San Jose yesterday afternoon.  We had a great time in Costa Rica.  We are even talking about coming back sometime.  We will definitely contact you if we do.  Also we will recommend your name to our friends who want to visit Costa Rica.
