Machu Picchu - The traditional way to get Machu Picchu is by train. The departure is from the San Pedro station in Cusco early in the morning. It takes nearly 3 hours and a half to get to Aguas Calientes, following the course of Vilcanota River.

- Ecolodge
San Luis at Costa Rica Travel, bordering the Monteverde
Cloud Forest Preserve, is an integrated eco tourism, research
and educational project directed on-site by resident tropical
biologists. It offers world-class bird watching with expert guides.
- Mawamba
Lodge in tortuguero by Costa Rica Travel, offers over 300 species of birds such as herons, hummingbirds,
manakins and green macaws, to name a few. Located in a sand bar
between the Tortuguero Lagoon and the Caribbean Sea, you can also
see crocodiles and green sea turtles emerge from the ocean to
lay their eggs.
- Shawandha
Lodge. Some of the species you could see around the Lodge in this area are the Red-capped Manikin, crested owl, the olive throated parakeet; pale vented pigeon, masked tityra, Collared Aracari, slaty ant shrike, keel-billed and chestnut-mandibled Toucan, Magnificent Frigate-bird, common black hawk, passerini's tanager, and the black-cowled oriole, among others.
- Hotel

- Rincón
de la Vieja Mountain Lodge at Costa Rica Travel. More than 200 species of birds
have been observed here. Horseback trips are possible to various
points in the park, including close to the summit of the volcano.
- Rara
Avis Rain Forest Lodge & Reserve at Costa Rica Travel. Over 340 species
of birds have been found at Rara Avis, including sunbitterns,
umbrella-birds, great green macaws, parrots, and toucans. There
is a good chance to see monkeys, anteaters, or coatimundis if
you walk silently through the forest, or to spot the tracks of
tapirs and jungle cats.
- Trogon
Lodge at Costa Rica Travel. Visit the highlands of the Talamanca Mountain range,
the oldest geological formation in Costa Rica. The Rio Macho Forest
Reserve is Costa Rica's largest protected area, composed of 13
different units for a total of over 200,000 acres. This area is
home to an immense variety of flora, and an ecological niche in
which the quetzal (holy bird of the Mayan culture) may be seen
year-round.
